The university focuses on offering expanded and improved facilities that help the students to root themselves in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.
FREMONT, CA: Saint Louis University invested around $78.8 million focusing on enhancing STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) facilities, as the university has a high student intake, who pursue science, engineering, math, and health science courses.
Presently under construction is a new $50 million Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Building that will open in 2020. The 90000 Square-foot area comprises features like wide innovative teaching spaces and flexible labs, an active learning classroom that can hold up to 210 candidates. It also has a research computing and data visualization support center.

Along with this, the university completed $ 28.8 million for renovating Macelwane Hall. The Hall houses the university's biology labs and teaching labs for chemistry as well. The newly renovated building helps the students for experimental learning, with advanced and updated classrooms and state-of-the-art teaching in addition to the research labs.
The University focuses on providing a space to know the students desire by introducing career counseling services. The university is also investing in industry partnerships and hands-on learning as part of a renewed focus to bring success from students.
Providing a core for entrepreneurship and technology, the University is in the middle of renaissance fueled by the investment of $8 billion, including $1 billion for the university's campus.
Cortex, the region's biggest innovation district, is thriving and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is constructing a new $1.78 billion western headquarter. It is expected to bring thousands of new profiles and jobs to the region.
The platform for geospatial is emerging as an area of excellence for the university. Being the first local university to collaborate with the NGA, it is confident of providing its students as well as faculty with excellent learning capabilities and research opportunities.
The newly renovated STEM facilities will follow the university's investment of $ 116 million to create advanced halls for the first and second year students. Two years ago, the SLU unlocked Academic Technology Commons, a space that features 3 D printers, 360-degree cameras, holograms, and recording studios.
