FREMONT, CA: Optrel, a leading international manufacturer of innovative active eye protection products for the grinding, welding, and healthcare industries, announced its new Swiss Air Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) that provides fresh, breathable air with maximum protection in a lightweight, ultra-comfortable system that welders can use alone or with their favorite helmet or hood. Welding, grinding, plasma cutting, metalworking, woodworking, and industrial applications are suitable for the new Swiss Air PAPR.
The new Swiss Air PAPR offers several benefits, starting with the ability to wear the Swiss Air PAPR alone or with their preferred hood or helmet without having to purchase additional gear. The Swiss Air PAPR is made to be light and comfortable. The lightweight 1.2-pound low-profile Swiss Air PAPR is easily worn as a backpack with ergonomic shoulder harnesses that optimize a user's freedom of movement, rather than being strapped around a user's waist like most devices. Front-mounted controls, filter, and battery indicators allow for easy visibility and access. The variable airflow can be adjusted at any time to customize fresh air delivery. The high-capacity battery will power the device for a complete 14-hour workday.

Above all, the Swiss Air PAPR prioritizes security and safety. The system includes a lightweight, ultra-flat, high-efficiency HEPA filter unit that is 99.98 percent efficient and an internally validated assigned safety factor greater than 1,000. Comfort and user exhaustion are ensured by the strong positive airflow, automatic airflow calibration, and automatic altitude and temperature changes. Although covering both the mouth and nose, the ventilated half-mask allows for unrestricted vision and contact for increased work area visibility and protection. There's no need for expensive disposables since the mask is flame-resistant, washable, and reusable. An app for Apple devices will be available soon, allowing users to have even more ease of use, tracking, and control options.
