Inspected has appointed Johnny Goetz as its Director of Government Relations and Chief Building Official, wherehe will be responsiblefor leading the company’s government affairs.
FREMONT, CA: Inspected, a virtual inspection software company, hasappointed Johnny Goetz as its Director of Government Relations and Chief Building Official. In the building and construction industry, he is one of the veterans. Goetz will have the responsibility of leading the company’s government affairs and work with building departments.
Goetz has joined Inspected with over 15 years of experience as a building official and over 25 years in construction management. Furthermore, Goetz also has an excellent history of his achievements in project management and timely completion of large-scale projects that consists of several stakeholders. He also has a wide range of background in building safety and in-depth knowledge of building, state, and local codes.
According to Anthony Perera, the founder of Inspected, “Johnny is an industry icon, and we are thrilled to have on our team. “He will play a key role in the growth and adoption of our platform. With his extensive background in the industry, he will help us introduce the platform to various stakeholders and potential customers across the country.”
Before joining Inspected, Goetz was the Assistant Director of Construction, Codes, and Standards at Summit Hotel Properties, Inc. Prior to that, in California, he was in the official building positions of the city departments, and most recently, he was the Chief Building Official for the Town of Truckee for five years.
As per Goetz, “adding a layer of remote efficiency to inspections is a game-changer, especially in the current climate.” He further said, “I am excited to be part of a team that is future-forward by making remote inspections a reality and I am looking forward to this journey.”
Goetz is also an International Code Council (ICC) certified building official with several ICC certifications in the residential and commercial sectors. He even maintained a leadership position in ICC and other construction organizations. Furthermore, he often teaches the code necessary for the members of the building safety and construction trades industries.
