BIM improves schedule performance enhances the quality of projects and reduces construction costs.
FREMONT, CA: A new approach to planning, designing, constructing, and managing construction models is Building Information Modeling (BIM). The 3D model-based technology represents both the physical and functional characteristics of a building digitally. Data can be shared, and collaboration can take place between all parties involved in the construction and lifecycle management of the built asset.

The simulation: Construction managers can also apply real-life conditions to the model using BIM. The best material for a project can be determined by simulating its use. During the simulation, project managers can evaluate the energy efficiency of their building. As a result of this information, project managers can identify areas that need to be optimized and ensure they comply with the original specifications and standards.
Representation visually: A BIM model represents the entire lifecycle of a building virtually. Construction managers can use the BIM model to run several alternative scenarios at the beginning of a project to visualize its entire planned sequence.
