Dewhurst and Neonode Announce the Signing of Original Equipment Manufacturer Agreement

Dewhurst and Neonode have signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer agreement, enabling Dewhurst to manufacture, market, and sell contactless elevator control systems and solutions based on Neonode contactless technology.

FREMONT, CA: Dewhurst UK Ltd has signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer agreement with Neonode Inc., allowing Dewhurst to manufacture, market, and sell contactless elevator control systems and solutions based on Neonode contactless technology.

Dewhurst, a worldwide pioneer in the design and manufacture of high-end components and solutions for the elevator industry, aimed to innovate and expand its product line with contactless goods in 2020. Dewhurst began a new product development project after a successful evaluation of Neonode touch sensor modules, which led to its first contactless elevator product in early 20. With its elegant form and stand-alone nature, the world-class HALO provides user-friendly touchless technology inside the lift car and is suited for retrofits and new installations.

The HALO device has already been placed in several places in the United Kingdom, with positive consumer feedback, and installation will continue into 2021.

"The elevator segment is important to Neonode's contactless touch business, and I am happy to see Dewhurst's achievements so far and look forward to deepen our win-win cooperation going forward," said Urban Forssell, CEO of Neonode.

Peter Dewhurst, Head of Commercial Operations of Dewhurst, said: "We are very impressed by Neonode's contactless products and are keen to expand our contactless business together with Neonode. This partnership is a natural next step to accelerate adoption of contactless features as well as the product development efforts."
