HVAC and construction help the enterprises implement their projects in an effective way by joining hand in hand with the technology and aiming at the future.
FREMONT, CA: Construction and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, otherwise known as HVAC, mostly go hand-in-hand. HVAC is also used in many buildings and vehicles nowadays. As many people overlook HVAC, it can actually be one of the biggest consumers of energy in a facility. HVAC is driven by federal and state regulations. HVAC is becoming more complex since it is built with better algorithms and is able to gather more data. As the days go by, the HVAC and construction trends are seen evolving. Eco-friendly technology advancement and innovation play a major role in shaping the HVAC industry at present. Innovations in HVAC have the potential to make a huge impact on sustainable and affordable technology. The HVAC market is constantly growing and has great potential considering both new and mature markets, and also has the new trends arising, which will be without a doubt playing a huge part in revamping the construction industry. Understanding which construction technology will impact HVAC can help plan for the coming years. Keeping that in mind, here are 8 HVAC trends that focus on improving the efficiency of the building.

There is a deep connection between the construction sector and the HVAC industry. When there is a new building construction, there is always an increase in the HVAC installations. The rising trend of the sustainable building will be more environmentally friendly, through alternative power sources or the new technology. Along with this, building architects are taking steps to minimize the carbon footprint in the construction industry by using materials which naturally regulate temperature.
Green Technology
When properly maintained, HVAC equipment can last for 10-15 years. This means that a huge part of the HVAC industry is maintenance. By implementing new technologies, the maintenance process can be streamlined to be highly efficient and environmentally-friendly. According to a recent study, about 75 percent of utility costs in a home comes from HVAC devices that are in standby or are switched off. By having proper insulation, utility costs can be minimized, and HVAC efficiency can be raised up to 30 percent. In addition to this, there are also electronic air cleaners, that is up to 40 times more efficient than a standard filter.
Refrigerant
Refrigerant has been long noticed since it is considered as the backbone of AC. Due to its ability to absorb heat from the environment, it helps lower the temperature of the air it comes in contact with. With this advantage, comes a drawback. However, the main refrigerant is called the chlorofluorocarbons (CFC), which is one of the main element to damage the ozone layer and exacerbate the greenhouse effect.
Solar/Geothermal
Solar methods have gained popularity for several years in the field of sustainable energy. By installing solar panels, solar HVAC units can be added to the existing buildings as well as the new ones. Another method of sustainable HVAC is geothermal HVAC, which uses underground pipes to monitor and regulate temperature. The pipes are situated underground at a great depth, where the temperature remains relatively constant, and these pipes regulate the temperature around the building.
DeVap
With popular uprising methods like DeVap, solar, and geothermal leading the way for the eco-friendly HVAC use, one can say that sustainable HVAC is a rising trend in the industry nowadays. DeVap can otherwise be known as desiccant enhanced evaporation. The desiccant substance is used to absorb the humidity from the cooled air to create dry air and provide a similar feeling to the cooling effect of a traditional AC unit. The enterprises should know that DeVap is gaining popularity in society due to their lower energy consumption and environmentally-friendly refrigerant.
