Apremier sink system designer, manufacturer and supplier based in Massachusetts, D|13 Group sets itself apart from its competition by offering beautiful, sustainable restroom solutions to a wide range of facilities. The company works in close collaboration with clients, architects and designers as a design-assist partner to execute projects efficiently and create high-quality modular solutions that fit unique design specifications.

“Our products elevate restroom aesthetics while enhancing the user experience, promoting superior hygiene standards and lowering operational costs,” says John Freitas, general manager at D|13 Group.

D|13 Group can be defined as a major player in this space due, in part, to its partnership with Excel Dryer, a company that manufactures innovative and beautiful touchless automated hand dryers for use in commercial restrooms.

This partnership has enabled D|13 to customize and install Excel Dryer’s patented XLERATORsync® Hand Dryer, developed as a key component of the D|13 Sink System—D|13 Group’s signature innovation. Sustainable and sleek, this system streamlines the hand washing and drying process by seamlessly integrating the no-touch, high-efficiency fixtures in a single cohesive design. Complete customization options allow clients to select their preferred soap dispensers and faucets to complement both the sink deck and the restroom’s overall aesthetic.

This ingenious modification to traditional handwashing stations allows clients and facilities to reduce their carbon footprint by up to 70 percent compared to facilities that solely offer paper towels (regardless of recycled content) as a hand drying method. D|13 Group’s unique capability to install full sink systems with the XLERATORsync Hand Dryer assists clients in qualifying for LEED credits and other green building certifications.

D|13 Group had incredible success working alongside UMass Amherst to design a custom sink system for the Isenberg School of Management Business Innovation Hub. Throughout the early planning stages, D|13 partnered with Goody Clancy and Bjarke Ingels Group to make collaborative decisions from a design perspective. D|13 effectively realized the architects’ vision to build a highend sink system that adheres to their design and aesthetic standards while matching Isenberg School’s enthusiasm for capturing the innovative spirit of the business department.

“This building is now used by students every day as they work to gain a business education,” says Freitas. “They are doing this in a space that is not only beautiful from the outside but also from the inside.”

The company has quickly risen as a power player in the restroom solutions space, investing in ongoing client partnerships to implement wide-scale customization efforts.

Client relations are at the heart of everything D|13 Group does, which spurs the development of robust solutions for the aesthetic, functional and sustainability challenges its clients may face. They trust D|13 to install elegant and beneficial systems that tie together the design elements of their modern facilities, and the company has consistently proven its ability to deliver.
